In our bamboo factory in the Valle del Cauca, Colombia we process raw bamboo into durable and premium construction grade materials for export around the world. Contrary to what many people believe, producing high quality bamboo poles for construction involves much more than just harvesting and loading them into a shipping container.
The key to producing the best quality bamboo poles is to have a steady supply of perfectly selected raw materials. Species, location, maturity, straightness and density of the green bamboo poles all play a crucial role. When the fresh bamboo poles arrive at our processing plant, the following procedures take place; puncturing, washing, chemical treatment, sun bleaching, cutting to size, seasoning, color coding, and quality control.
